Everything: I imagine a game about preparing, care-taking and living in an environment called a Vivarium. The game player or players would have 2 points of view. The first point of view, as a preparer and caretaker of the environment and the second perspective as a small living creature (butterfly, turtle, insect,?) inside the environment. This is to cultivate awareness of preparing an environment that is favorable to a small creature and then feeling what it might feel like to be a small creature existing in that environment. If the environment is not properly prepared for the creature, there is freedom to leave the vivarium and the tiny creature may or may not return if the environment is changed, or the environment may possibly attract a new creature. The type of vivarium I am imagining is similar to a terrarium (in a small clear container) that could be easy for the creature to exit or enter. The first part of the game would be gathering materials to create and prepare the vivarium environment. I imagine that there might be many choices such as soil, flora and fauna, and other materials modeled after real natural items used in designing terrariums. After an environment is prepared, then there may be a possibility of attracting one of the small creatures if the vivarium has been carefully prepared. The creature enters only by choice. Once the creature enters the vivarium, the perspective of the game changes and player sees the inside of the vivarium just as the creature experiences it. I imagine this to be similar to the Secret World of Arrietty where everything is large in comparison to the creature. The game player can then go back and forth between the caretaker perspective and maintain the environment as needed (less water, more plants) and being the creature living in or visiting the environment. Maybe there would be a choice to save that environment or create a new one at any time. If the environment is harmonious then possibly more creatures will come, if the environment is not balanced for the creature the player can self correct by seeing the perspective of the creature who may choose to leave or live in the vivarium. I imagine the look and feel of the game to be very natural and realistic looking. Thank you for taking the time to read and letting me share my thoughts.
